Trade Echo MCP Overview
Connect Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse, Grok Bot, and other agents to Trade Echo market intel via MCP.
Trade Echo MCP gives your AI agent read-only access to the same institutional intel you use in the dashboard - Option Flow, Dealer Edge, Dark Pool, Algo Edge, futures (Echo Map, session levels, quotes, tape and the Globex calendar), macro events, news, filings, and more. The intel tools are read-only.
Trading is available on every paid plan as a beta. It is optional and off by default. You turn it on for one connection at a time. Monthly and Yearly members trade on one brokerage account, their active Copy Trading account (change it in Copy Trading), and can have up to 3 active trade plans. Lifetime members can choose any linked account for each connection and have unlimited active plans. Paper accounts are labelled. With Trading on, the assistant can preview and place long option orders, and stock orders where your broker supports them, on the connection's trading account. It can also create Cortex trade plans, which you always approve in Trade Echo before Cortex runs them. The assistant previews every order first and places it only after you say yes in the chat. By default you then confirm each order in Trade Echo before it goes to your broker, and an order you do not confirm expires unsent after 5 minutes. See Trading.
You can also keep Trading off and connect a separate broker agent (for example Robinhood Agentic) alongside Trade Echo MCP.
What you get#
| Piece | Detail |
|---|---|
| Endpoint | https://api.tradeecho.com/api/mcp/intel |
| Transport | Stateless JSON-RPC over HTTP POST. Streamable HTTP clients work in its JSON-response mode: no SSE stream, no session id. |
| Auth | OAuth 2.1 with PKCE for ChatGPT, Claude connectors, Meta Muse, grok.com, and native Grok Bot; personal access token (Authorization: Bearer) for header clients |
| Access | Active Trade Echo subscription |
| Data | Read-only intel tools. Market intel by default. Journal and live holdings need the opt-in My Account switch. |
| Trading (beta) | Every paid plan. Optional and off by default. Order and trade plan tools need the separate opt-in Trading switch on that connection. Monthly and Yearly trade on their active Copy Trading account; Lifetime chooses the accounts. See Trading. |

Quick path#
- Open Agent Connections in the web app.
- PAT clients (Cursor IDE, Claude Code, Codex, Grok CLI, Muse Code): pick an access profile (All market intel or Options and dealer only), turn on My Account only if you want journal / holdings tools, generate a token, copy it once, paste the Bearer header. Leave Trading off unless you want the agent to place orders.
- OAuth clients (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Meta Muse, grok.com, native Grok Bot): paste the MCP URL, follow the OAuth link, click Allow. Check My Account only if you want journal / holdings tools. Leave Trading unchecked unless you want the assistant to place orders. No PAT.
- Wire details: Connect your client.
- Ask the agent for flow, dealer levels, dark pool, futures levels and tape, or a multi-signal scan (examples).
Two-MCP pattern (intel + execution)#
Trade Echo MCP → Agent → Broker Agentic MCP
(intel) (orders)
- Trade Echo MCP - market intel and context
- Broker agentic MCP (e.g. Robinhood) - funded account execution
- Connect both in the same agent so the model can research with Trade Echo, then trade with the broker MCP
This pattern still works with Trading off. If you turn on Trading (beta, every paid plan) for your Trade Echo connection, the assistant can also place orders through Trade Echo on that connection's trading account. See Robinhood Agentic.
Security basics#
- Treat PATs like passwords. Never commit them or paste them in Discord.
- One token per agent is recommended.
- Revoke anytime from Agent Connections.
- Tokens stop working if your subscription lapses or you revoke the connection.
- MCP is for personal use and is not copy trading. The intel tools are read-only. Orders are placed only on connections where you turned on Trading, and only after you say yes to that order in the chat.
- Turn Trading off, or revoke the connection, anytime from Agent Connections (Agent MCP in the web app menu) or AI connections in the mobile app.
- What connected apps can read, and what we log, is in the Privacy Policy (section 3.2).
