Where every number comes fromand what it doesn't mean
Trade Echo shows results from several sources. Each one is labelled, and the label tells you how much weight the number can carry.
These are the same labels you see on every card in the app.
The six sources
For each one: what it is, where the price comes from, and what it is not.
Posted in Discord
A trade call, as posted
BTO SPY 765C · 2 @ 1.20 posted
Example. Illustrative.
What it is
A trade call a trader typed in our Discord.
Price comes from
The price the trader wrote in the message. Results use the posted open and close prices.
What it is not
Not a broker fill. We can't confirm the trader got that price, or traded at all.
Broker fill · Pilot
A pilot's trade
BTO NVDA 190C · 4 @ 2.40 filled
Example. Illustrative.
What it is
A copy-trading pilot's trade, detected from the pilot's connected broker account.
Price comes from
The pilot's actual broker fill.
What it is not
Not your result. Your copy can differ (see below).
Your fill
Your copied trade
BTO NVDA 190C · 1 @ 2.45 filled
Example. Illustrative.
What it is
Your copied trade.
Price comes from
Your broker's fill.
Trader-entered · Pilot
A pilot's trade, entered by hand
BTO SPY 760P · 1 @ 0.85 entered
Example. Illustrative.
What it is
A pilot's trade that the trader entered by hand (for example the $1K to $100K Challenge), not detected from a broker feed.
Price comes from
The price the trader entered.
What it is not
Not an automatic broker fill. Your copy can differ.
Cortex agent · Paper
A Cortex agent on paper
BTO QQQ 600P · 3 @ 1.80 paper
Example. Illustrative.
What it is
A Cortex agent trading on paper.
Price comes from
Simulated fills, no real money. Paper trades are priced from live option quotes: entries fill at or near the ask, exits trigger on the midpoint and fill between the midpoint and the bid, a stop never fills better than its stop price, and cash-settled index options settle at the official settlement value. If a contract's quotes stop arriving, the paper position is closed at 25% below its last known price, and paper trades pay no commissions.
What it is not
Not a broker fill. Real fills would differ.
Cortex agent · Live
A Cortex agent placing real orders
BTO IWM 250C · 1 @ 0.95 filled
Example. Illustrative.
What it is
A Cortex agent placing real orders in a broker account.
Price comes from
Broker fills.

Your limits (max contract price, capital per trade, buying power and others) can stop a copy. The Trade Feed shows each skip and why.

Top Traders ranks traders by the prices they posted in Discord, not by broker fills. Win rates and results on the board use those posted prices.

Numbers in our marketing
We don't post profit-and-loss screenshots we can't trace to one of the sources above. Example or illustrative numbers are labelled "Illustrative".
The $1K to $100K Challenge started at $1,000 on October 15, 2026. The balance shown is $1,000 plus the realized profit or loss of every Challenge trade closed since then; an open position counts once it closes, and trades this account made before October 15 are not included. Challenge trades are entered by the trader from the trader's own $1,000 Webull account at the prices the trader got (trader-entered, not an automatic broker feed). Members who copy get their own broker fills, which can differ.
