Trade Echoin ChatGPT.
Add Trade Echo to ChatGPT as a custom MCP app, approve it once on Trade Echo, and ask ChatGPT about live options flow, dealer gamma levels and dark pool prints.
Connect ChatGPT
Sign-in: OAuth. ChatGPT does not accept a pasted token for MCP apps, so you approve the connection on Trade Echo instead.
Check your membership
Trade Echo MCP works with a paid Trade Echo membership. Free accounts see a See plans link instead of Allow on the consent screen. If you are not a member yet, pick a plan at tradeecho.com/pricing first.
Turn on Developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and connectors, and enable Developer mode (it may sit under Advanced). Developer mode depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.
Add a custom MCP app
Create a new app or connector, name it Trade Echo, choose OAuth for authentication, and paste the server URL below.

Follow the sign-in link
ChatGPT shows an OAuth link for Trade Echo. Open it.
Approve on Trade Echo
Follow the sign-in link to Trade Echo and sign in with the email on your membership. Review the scopes requested, leave My Account unchecked unless you want this assistant to read your journal, copy trading status and broker holdings, accept the MCP terms, then click Allow.
Ask ChatGPT
Start a chat, turn on the Trade Echo app for that chat, and ask, for example: Using Trade Echo, summarize today's unusual call flow on NVDA.
Good to know
- The connection appears on Agent Connections as type oauth, labeled ChatGPT. Revoke it there at any time.
- ChatGPT reads tool results inside your conversation. What OpenAI does with that conversation is covered by OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy.
- Every Trade Echo MCP tool is read-only. Your assistant cannot place orders or change your account through it.

Troubleshooting

| 401 Unauthorized | The token is missing or mistyped, or the OAuth sign-in was never finished (you saw Connect but did not click Allow). For tokens, check the header reads Authorization: Bearer te_live_... |
| 403 revoked | The connection was revoked on Agent Connections. Connect again (OAuth) or create a new token. |
| 403 subscription_inactive | Your Trade Echo membership is not active, or you signed in with a different email. Renew at tradeecho.com/pricing and the same connection works again. |
| Credit limit reached (429) | You used this hour's credit budget. Wait for the hourly reset or add a bonus credit pack on Agent Connections. |
| Account tools are missing | Journal, copy trading and holdings tools only appear with My Account. Reconnect and check My Account on the consent screen, or create a token with the My Account switch on. |
