Robinhood Agentic + Trade Echo MCP
Use Trade Echo MCP for intel and Robinhood Agentic MCP for execution in the same agent, or turn on Trade Echo Trading (beta, every paid plan) to place option orders on a Robinhood Agentic account.
There are two ways to trade on Robinhood Agentic with an assistant that uses Trade Echo:
- Two MCPs (intel + Robinhood's own MCP). Trade Echo for research, Robinhood Agentic MCP for orders. This is the pattern below.
- Trade Echo Trading (optional, beta, every paid plan). If you turn on Trading for a Trade Echo connection that trades on a Robinhood Agentic account, Trade Echo MCP can place option orders on that account after you say yes in the chat. See Option orders through Trade Echo.
| MCP | Role |
|---|---|
| Trade Echo MCP | Read-only market intel (flow, dealer edge, dark pool, etc.). Optional Trading (beta, every paid plan), off by default, can place option orders on a Robinhood Agentic account. |
| Robinhood Agentic MCP | Execution on your funded Robinhood account |
In the two-MCP pattern, Robinhood does not host Trade Echo data and Trade Echo does not send the orders. Your agent sits in the middle.
Trade Echo MCP → Agent → Robinhood Agentic MCP
(intel) (orders)
Setup#
- Connect Trade Echo MCP (Agent Connections + client setup).
- Connect Robinhood Agentic using Robinhood's own agentic trading product and docs.
- Confirm both servers appear in the same agent (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).

How to use them together#
- Ask the agent to research with Trade Echo (flow, GEX, dark pool).
- Review the brief.
- If you want a trade, ask the agent to use Robinhood Agentic - ideally with an explicit confirm step.
Example:
You have Trade Echo MCP and Robinhood Agentic MCP.
Research unusual call flow on NVDA with Trade Echo.
Give me a short briefing with invalidation.
Do not place any Robinhood order until I reply "confirm".
Option orders through Trade Echo#
If your Robinhood Agentic account is connected to Trade Echo (Connect Robinhood), you can let a Trade Echo MCP connection place option orders on it. On Monthly and Yearly, Trading uses your active Copy Trading account, so the Robinhood Agentic account must be your active account (change it in Copy Trading). On Lifetime, you can choose it for any connection.
- Turn on Trading for that connection (how). On Lifetime, choose the Robinhood Agentic account.
- Ask the assistant for an option trade. It calls
preview_orderand shows you the preview: account, order, quote, estimated cost, and warnings. - Say yes in the chat to that preview. Only then does it call
place_order. - By default, confirm the order in Trade Echo (a push opens the confirm screen). An order you do not confirm within 5 minutes expires and is never sent.
- The assistant checks
get_order_status. Order status comes from your broker. An order is not filled until your broker says it is filled.
On Robinhood Agentic accounts, Trading supports options only, as limit day orders: buy to open and sell to close an option you already hold, plus cancelling an open order you placed through Trade Echo Trading. Stock and ETF orders are not available on Robinhood Agentic accounts. Trading is off by default, and you can turn it off anytime with Edit trading in Agent Connections.
What this is not#
- Not Trade Echo copy trading on Robinhood
- Not a single combined Trade Echo + Robinhood product
- Not a way to place orders without your yes: with Trading on, every order is previewed first and placed only after you say yes in the chat
Copy trading broker support is a separate feature with its own rules. See Copy Trading in these docs.
Safety tips#
- Trade Echo intel scopes are read-only. Leave Trading off unless you want Trade Echo to place orders, and choose only the accounts you need.
- Consider setting a cap on buys with Edit trading. Sells are not capped.
- Use small size and confirmations on the execution MCP.
- Revoke Trade Echo tokens from Agent Connections if a device or agent is compromised.
- Robinhood availability, eligibility, and risk limits are controlled by Robinhood - not Trade Echo.
