Charm Stackat Anchor.
Price is sitting near the GEX Anchor while positive charm is stacked a few strikes above it. It is a confluence setup: a gamma level and time-decay hedging flow lined up in the same place.
What triggers it
Named setup
- Price is near the GEX Anchor, the strike the dealer gamma structure is organized around.
- Positive charm is stacked a few strikes above the Anchor. Charm is measured strike by strike from the live options chain; a stack at the Anchor or below it does not count.
- Price is still below that charm level. The setup is about the space between the Anchor and the stack.
- Both halves must be true at the same time. Price at the Anchor alone, or a charm stack alone, is not the setup.
Regime context
- Charm Stack at Anchor is not gated by GEX Rating, so read the rating next to it. The GEX Rating is a 1-5 volatility regime score and never a directional call.
- At Rating 4-5 (positive gamma, more stable), dealer hedging damps moves and price tends to gravitate around the Anchor, which is the environment the setup describes best.
- At Rating 1-2 (negative gamma, more volatile), hedging amplifies moves in both directions and levels hold less reliably, so the same structure deserves more caution.

When it stops
- Price reaches the charm level. The setup has played out: Discovery relabels the row as Charm Target Reached, and the DealerEdge GEX alert stops for that episode.
- Price has already run above the Anchor and stays there. For DealerEdge GEX alerts, a name that was above the Anchor on the previous real-time snapshot and is still above it does not fire again.
- Price moves away from the Anchor. Once a GEX alert fires it stays quiet while price lingers, and only re-arms after price has moved clearly away and comes back.
- The charm stack fades or shifts so it is no longer positive a few strikes above the Anchor.
Related states
These are display states of Charm Stack at Anchor, not separate setups.
Charm Target Reached
Price has reached the charm level above the Anchor. It stays on the Discovery Charm Setups tab so you can see the setup played through, but it no longer fires a DealerEdge GEX alert.
Near Anchor + Charm
The charm stack is in place, but price is 1 to 2% from the Anchor rather than inside 1%. It is a weaker watch state: one half of the confluence is present and the other may or may not arrive.

Where it shows up
- DealerEdge GEX alertsPush on iOS and Android, optional DiscordOne of the three GEX alert triggers that are on by default. The alert names the Anchor and the charm range building above it.
- Discovery: Charm Setups tabWeb and mobileRows labeled Charm Stack at Anchor, alongside the Charm Target Reached and Near Anchor + Charm states. Opt-in Discovery alerts can also cover this tab.

How to use it
- Find it. Open the Charm Setups tab in Discovery, or keep the Charm Stack at Anchor trigger on in your DealerEdge GEX alert settings.
- Check the structure. Open the ticker in DealerEdge and look at the Charm lens to see where the Anchor sits and where the positive charm is stacked above it.
- Read the regime. Note the GEX Rating. It tells you how the name tends to move (damped at 4-5, amplified at 1-2), not which way.
- Mark where it ends. Treat the charm level as the point where the setup has played out, and treat a clear move away from the Anchor as the point where it no longer applies.
- Make your own plan. Decide entry, size and exit with your own confirmation, such as flow and price action. The setup is context about positioning, not an instruction.

Common questions
Does Charm Stack at Anchor mean the stock will go up?
No. It describes positioning: price near the Anchor with positive charm stacked above it. Setups describe where dealer hedging is concentrated, not where price will go. Direction still comes from flow, catalysts and price action.
Why did my GEX alert stop while the name is still on Discovery?
DealerEdge GEX alerts are built not to repeat. Once price reaches the charm level the setup counts as played out, and a name that has already run above the Anchor does not re-fire. Discovery keeps showing the row, relabeled Charm Target Reached, so you can see what happened.
What is the difference between Charm Stack at Anchor and Near Anchor + Charm?
Charm Stack at Anchor is the full confluence with price close to the Anchor. Near Anchor + Charm means the stack is there but price is 1 to 2% away. The second is a watch state, labeled separately so a partial match is never promoted to the full setup.

Not financial advice. Setups describe dealer positioning and market structure, not predictions, and a setup appearing does not mean price will move in any direction.
